Magic Carpet – Explore Qatar is a first-of-its-kind immersive VR ride designed for educational exhibitions. It takes users on a magical journey through Qatar’s history, culture, and natural environments. As the Lead Development Engineer, I was responsible for the full technical execution, from core gameplay systems to complex hardware synchronization.

🚀 Key Contributions:

🛠️ Core VR Development & Logic

Branching Storylines: Developed clickable animated question prompts that engage learners with story-based choices.

Scene-Based Triggers: Built trigger-based logic that responds to user movement and choices, activating voiceovers, animations, and environmental effects in real time.

⚙️ Hardware Integration & Collaboration

Worked directly with the hardware team to ensure flawless communication between Unity and the physical simulation systems.

Motion Platform: Engineered real-time synchronization between Unity and the ride platform to reflect virtual movement physically.

Wind Simulator: Integrated Unity with the wind simulator to produce dynamic wind bursts matching in-game moments such as sandstorms or deep-sea scenes.

✨ Visual Effects

Designed and implemented custom particle systems to bring environments to life like magical transitions, and glowing artifacts.

🌐 Bilingual Accessibility

Delivered the experience in both Arabic and English, ensuring inclusivity for local and international audiences.

📚 Educational Objectives:
